WEAVE Industries – Warren Transport is looking for an Assistant Transportation Manager in HARDIN, MT!
The Assistant Manager provides operational and administrative support by assisting with the day-to-day dispatch duties of drivers and equipment. In general, this includes monitoring compliance with DOT and state regulations of dispatched equipment and managing mechanical failures while maintaining customer service expectations. This position is responsible for performing and documenting driver road tests and assisting with various safety-related functions, including education of new and existing drivers.
Job Requirements:
- Maintains customer service relationships through professional and timely communication.
- Understands Hours of Service (HOS), DOT, MSHA, OSHA regulations and applies this knowledge to the dispatch of drivers & equipment.
- Possesses a working knowledge of the purpose, capability, and limitations of the equipment associated with the division, including a thorough understanding of customer locations to appropriately address driver route selection and best practices for load/unload.
- Utilizes communication protocol with Fleet Maintenance Director regarding equipment repair or failure.
- Receives and addresses calls from drivers/customers throughout the day and is required to share rotational responsibilities that support all hours of operation, including holidays and weekends.
- Assists in development of driver training curriculum materials; conducts and documents new driver road tests. Also, assists with all safety concerns as they relate to the division and its staff.
- Assists with strategies to reduce turnover and increase retention.
- Performs data entry and verification of driver payroll as directed by the Division Manager.
- Serves in a company driver capacity in emergency situation and must be available for shared rotational responsibility of after-hours calls.
- Class A CDL Required; must meet company insurability requirements.
- Minimum three years of CDL trucking operations experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
